Phase 3 Stroba™ Shipping Starting End of November 

Thank you so much for your patience during this long creation period! We are excited to announce that we are officially going to start shipping Stroba™ the last week of November 2021! Once we receive Stroba™ from our manufacturer, we will start shipping in the order received. We are so excited to get these out to you in plastic free packing soon! 

Backerkit Timeline

70% of all of the Backerkit surveys are already filled out, and our ability to fulfill orders is predicated on filling out the Backerkit survey. Big thank you to those who have filled it out already!

For the rest of the folks, you have 27 days before we lock the orders on November 11th. We will send you reminders closer to fulfilment, when you get a chance, please take 5 min to fill it out. There are only a few questions, and you can skip if you don't feel like answering. 

If you were one of the first smoke test backers, please be on the lookout for another personalized email from us regarding your current address so we can properly fulfill your order. 

Cappie™ Small Ready for Purchase November 1st

Due to popular demand, we officially finished mass production on Cappie™ in a 6mm version for a regular sized straw. They  will be available for purchase on Amazon and Strobaboba.com as early as November 1st.

Ready for Mass Production!

Stroba™ just rolled out of the mold shop without spilling and has passed all of our tests! 

After over 60 prototypes, 3 mold tryouts, and having solved every problem we encountered, we are finally ready for mass production! Thank you so much for your continued patience and support through this long Phase 1! 

Next Steps

We are going to begin the mass production of Stroba™ right away (Phase 2). It will take about 2 months if there are no delays, and if so, we will be right on target for the November 2021 shipping (Phase 3).

Backerkit Surveys

Now is the time we will be collecting surveys through Backerkit. We have to find out where we need to ship them. So we’ll send out a BackerKit survey to collect this information, be on the lookout for an email from Backerkit and Stroba™. You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email contains a link to your personal survey. Please kindly double check that the email from Backerkit doesn't end up in your spam. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards. Our ability to fulfill your order depends on receiving this information.

If you need to change your survey responses, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping information, you can click the link in your survey email again, or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)

If you prefer, you can contact us directly and give us your information, but answering your survey help us get your rewards out to you faster. BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey link is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact us.

Smoke Test Backers

For the folks who were kind enough to be a part of the smoke test system back in March, we will be sending out a separate email to you to make sure that you are still at the address listed, and update with your new address if you have moved.

Shipping Updates

The original shipping rates we quoted on Kickstarter have unfortunately increased due to COVID-19. However, if you purchased Stroba™ in the United States, you still get free shipping. If you are in the United States (which most of you are) do not be alarmed by the page asking you for shipping money. Once you put your address as a United States address, it will update to $0 for shipping automatically. For our international backers and US backers who bought more than 2 Stroba™, Backerkit will ask you to pay the difference in shipping that you already paid into.

Stroba™ July Update

The first undyed mold sample arrived and is being tested for functionality, user friendliness as well as spill resistance! We brought the Stroba™ mold sample to a local boba shop and it was fun to showcase for its maiden voyage, as you will see in the video below:

We've have lots of great success with theses first tests. Before we kick off mass production and send surveys out, though, we are working on a second production sample so we can refine the product to our standards.

Are you still excited about the launch of the Stroba™!?

We hope so, as we’re making real progress in production. Today we wanted to quickly share what we’ve accomplished so far. And don’t forget you can keep track on the kickstarter page.

Without further ado, let’s dive in!

Packaging

We just ordered bulk packaging to ship out Stroba™! And we’ve decided to keep things eco-friendly here as well. All Strobas™ will be delivered in an environmentally friendly tube as pictured below:

Silicone Seals and O-rings

All silicone seals and O-rings have also been purchased in case you need replacements, and the pack of 4 is ready for sale now. See picture below:

What we’re up to now

Right now, we’re working on tooling, after which the production mold samples should be ready for assessment next month.

Backerkit Store

Our Backerkit store is ready and available now! No need to set up any additional accounts, surveys will automatically be sent out through Backerkit and you will be able to purchase additional add-ons and even additional Stroba™! Some of you may have already received the survey as a test, and we will be sending the rest out at the next milestone where we receive the mold sample and get ready for mass production. In addition, the Backerkit store link is available right now on our Kickstarter home page to be accessed at any time.
